Sir Stichhead told us that pests were brought here by European settlers. Maoris also ate kiore rats that saved to preserve in their own fat to save when an important person came.
I really liked your inquiry project Helen. You had lots of information that you had put into your own words and I especially liked your little tour guide-Sir Stichbird!!! Haha
I did this question because sometimes I would see a dead bird on the road or a cracked egg shell if I'm lucky, but it always makes me sad when you actually realize that these birds have been somehow killed so I decided to do mine on this Big Question. I wanted to find out how and what made these poor birds die. So that also links to new Zealand's native birds for example some are being hunt down to extinction and what could of caused that etc. Thats what made me want to d this question.
Amazing Helen. I like how you included the roddents (Rats and the possums)your prezi was amazing.
